The Online Church Of Reverend Carroll D. Kraston |
15 August 2007 Update: This site has been on teh intrawebz now for almost a decade.
I still plan to keep this up in some form, but when I look at some of my writing here, I'm a bit embarrassed.
Not so much because of the content, but rather the tone.
I don't know exactly how to articulate it, but when I read it now, it just doesn't flow at all the way I'd like it to.
After a few weeks of struggling to get my password back for this site(after not logging in here for about 7 years), I finally got it today.
So I'm going to start making some changes.
Some sections will be updated and edited to sound at least slightly less embarrassing, and others will be deleted outright.
If you're curious about what I'm up to, I update my Livejournal almost daily...sometimes too much.
If you're interested in my music, you can listen to it and purchase it via the Cruelty Pageant website, or the Cruelty Pageant Myspace.
Unfortunately, I've lost touch with most of my online friends from when I started this site, and most of the sites linked there have since been taken down.
Hopefully they're all doing well where ever they are.
I'm still close to Ed Yuban, however, and his current site(as of 15 August 2007) can be found at Superdamnit.com, at least until he suddenly deletes it completely because he got tired of the layout again.
I think the first thing I'll be editing will be the intro below, because looking at it now just hurts my brain on so many levels....it seems very Pollyanna.
Yeesh..where to start?
It's so BAD....
Namaste,
Carroll Kraston

DISCLAIMER: Yes, this IS a real online church, however I don't believe in preaching.
I am not a Christian.
I'm a very liberal and unorthodox Shaivite Hindu, as well as a legally ordained minister in the Universal Life Church.
What you will find here, instead of preaching, is links to sites about religions of all kinds, and links to sites about music and art that I enjoy.
My tastes tend toward the darker side, and much of the music I like is Goth and Industrial, but it isn't limited to that.
I feel music is pure religion.
It connects people on a spiritual and emotional level, without regard to dogma or creed.
Organized religion tends more often than not to stifle true spirituality in favour of dogmatism, so I prefer non creedal religions.
Last Updated on 9 April 2000, because it's a waste of space to keep this thing on the net without updating it. And also because many of the links are dead, and I've had ideas for rants that I haven't done anything with.
Edited a BUNCH on 15 Aug 2007 because DAMN I wrote things VERY badly when I started this site!
Order books and recordings in theChurch Bookstore
Chat in the CHAPELI'm hardly ever in there, but it's there anyway....
