Here you can order books and recordings from Amazon.com. I've tried to mostly include books I've read myself, as well as comments about them. There are also many tapes and CDs by groups I like and you can order some of them as well.
NOTICE: Amazon recently changed all the numbers on their recordings, but I think I've updated them all now. If not, I'm sorry.

Morrissey & Marr:The Severed Alliance by Johnny Rogan. A Very interesting and detailed account of the career of The Smiths, as well as covering Mozz and Johnny's post Smiths careers.

Morrissey Shot by Linder Sterling. A collection of Photos of the Mozz on tour.

10 Imaginary Years by Steve Sutherland and Robert Smith. A detailed biography of The Cure from 1977 to the Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me/Cure In Orange era. VERY good book, and very informative read. I really enjoyed it, and hope to have a copy myself soon.

The Cure On Recordby Daren Butler. A pretty detailed discography that includes collectables

Disintegration; The Cure's Compact Book by Dave Thompson. I've actually never heard of this before, but it seems interesting, it details the making of Disintegration, and the tour that followed.

and on that note:The Cure Disintegration (cassette) One of their all time best albums, you should get it soon!

Staring At The Sea,The Images(VHS) the video companion to Staring At The Sea and Standing on A Beach.

Boys Don't Cry(cassette) This was their first American album(1979), I originally had Three Imaginary Boys here, but apparently Amazon no longer carries it, which is a damn shame, because it is (in my opinion) better than Boys Don't Cry, and it would surprise anyone who has never heard anything earlier than "Let's Go To Bed", because it's a much rawer punk sound, there's a priceless punk cover of Foxy Lady by Jimi Hendrix.

But hey, they got it again!3 Imaginary Boys

Cure: Seventeen Seconds(cassette)This is their second album. Very sedate, but there are some excellent songs on it.

From Joy Division to New Order; The Factory Story by Mick Middles. Covers Factory Records, who have handled not only Joy Division/New Order, but also other greats like the Happy Mondays, and ran a disco(The Hacienda, in Manchester) as well.

Touching From A Distance by Deborah Curtis. The life story of Ian Curtis, the late singer of Joy Division. This is well written by Mr Curtis' wife, and details both his career, family life, and his struggle with epilepsy. I found it to be a real good read.

Speaking Of Siva compiled by A.K. Ramanujan. Ancient Shaivite devotional poems.

Be Here Now by Ram Dass. Details Dass' process of self realization and spiritual journey. Both interesting and entertaining.

H.R. Giger's Retrospective:1964-1984 A collection of the artist's paintings. Giger has a real knack for creating something beautiful or at least mind engaging with some of the most disturbing imagery.

Ministry: Twitch (CD) Ministry's second album, a very intense sequencer driven album. Good use of samplers, which at that time were still fairly new instruments. Also some very harsh industrial noise that's manipulated in a very arresting way

Ministry: The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste (CD) Pretty much the final "Industrial" album Ministry did. I wanted to have Land Of Rape and Honey here, but Amazon stopped carrying it I guess.

Erasure ABBAesque Great technopop versions of ABBA's hits. Vince Clark kicks ass, and even with the campy nature of this release, his sequencing and synthesizer skills are apparent.

Long Hard Road Out Of Hell by Marilyn Manson and Neil Strauss. An autobiography which I enjoyed reading. Really informative and also contains some of Manson's original horror fiction. It's an entrancing read, and was very hard to put down.

My Bloody Valentine: Loveless(CD) The most advanced guitar music to date, even 7 years later. Dizzying, dissonant, but beautiful and full, with this CD, there's no need for drugs, it creates sensations not unlike certain mind expanding substances.

Crackle: The Best Of Bauhaus A pretty complete anthology of Bauhaus work

Bauhaus The Sky's Gone Out A really great album that shows alot of their range.

Holy Bible New Revised Standard Version. by many unknown authors.

The Dead Sea Scrolls Deception by Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh. Details How biblical scholars who were Christians attempted to keep the Dead Sea Scrolls from being published because of how certain verses pertaining to Jesus presented him.

The Gospel Of St. Thomas: The Hidden Sayings Of JesusTranslated by Marvin Meyer and William Golding. Just one of many "noncanonical" scriptures decided by the political heads of the church to not be spiritually "valid", nevertheless, having read some of these sayings, I would say it's probably a reliable source, and a good tool for Christians and nonChristians who want to explore some of what Yeshua said that wasn't included in the New Testament.

The Lost Gospel: The Book of Q and Christian Originsby Burton L. Mack. Discusses the so called "Book Of Q"(from quelle, German for "source"), the story of Jesus as written by his immediate followers, and how the story of Jesus was mythologized for theological purposes in the canonical scriptures.

Gods Of Love And Ecstacy: The Traditions Of Shiva And Dionysusby Alian Danielou. Details the early beginnings of Shaivite religion in India, as well as the history of Dionysian/Bacchic religion in Greece, presents the theory that Dionysus was based on Shiva, and explores the similarities between the two religions. I found this to be an informative and revealing book, and recommend it for anyone interested in Shaivism or Bacchanalia.

The UpanishadsTranslated by Eknath Easwaran and Micheal N. Nagler. These are some of the primary scriptures used by Hindus. Anyone who is interested in Hindu scripture will find this interesting. Also, this particular translation seems to have generated some good reviews.

The Holy Quran English/ArabicTranslated by Maulana Muhammad Ali. The scriptures of Islam, words of wisdom from the arabian prophet Muhammad.

Baha'U'Llah and the New Era:An Introduction to the Baha'i Faith by J.E. Esslemont. This is the most recommended introduction to Baha'i beliefs.
